UL 752 Ballistic Levels and GSA Blast Performance Conditions
Underwriters Laboratories and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) provide testing standards for the rating of ballistic and blast mitigation products. Below are the reference guides that designate performance levels for ballistic and blast solutions based on perceived threats.
Security Specifications
This diagram explains what the various performance conditions represent and depicts the testing chamber used for testing bomb blast mitigation solutions. The room is 10 feet deep, and there is a witness panel on the back wall for detecting debris.
If the window shatters during the test and the failure is significant enough, there will be glass shards embedded in the witness panel.

Window Film Blast Mitigation Test
We used a live “shot” to test the blast performance of a window film system. Riot Glass™ produces blast-resistant glass and framing systems for new construction, as well as security film retrofits for existing glass to remain in place.
Our window films are a cost-effective solution and work very well for blast mitigation, as you can see here.

Shock Tube Test
This video shows an indoor blast chamber for product testing known as a shock tube. Our Riot Glass™ security film was tested by our Los Angeles-based installation dealer, Campbell Window Film.
